Formed around the turn of the century near Chicago, Illinois (USA), SAD EYED ANGEL(c) is still going strong with their unique brand of Metal, infusing some songs with the Chicago Blues sound.
SAD EYED ANGEL started out in '99 and as momentum picked up the band found itself gaining fans and friends while writing songs, recording demos, and eventually selling out local venues. It was then time to hit the road and Sad Eyed Angel offically started touring with what little money the band could budget and soon after recording a few demos, Lead Guitarist and Studio Engineer N8 Kinney, along with the band, produced the bands first full-length effort 'Buried Face Down' at Gremlin Studio, in Aurora Illinois.
Since the release of their first album, the band has now been picked up as a non-exclusive artist on Gridwave Records.
Sad Eyed Angel remains a strong act that has managed themselves and their budget on their own. When the label's warehousing firm Hit Media Inc. paired with distributor Super-D One Stop Distribution, the Sad's music became available in retail stores. The band was then able to get their music out to an expanded demographic to which they cater.
Still recording and releasing new material, the ever evolving metal act hits stages across the Midwest with their smoke-spewing zombies and face melting stage presence. Landing spots in metal festivals and as an opening act for national touring bands from Shadow's Fall to Cannibal Corpse, has pushed Sad Eyed Angel's easily adaptable music even further into the game and helped them find even more fans and friends.
Sticking to their guns has earned the band the respect of their fans and Sad Eyed Angel is and will always be an evolving metal act that is strong and moving - true music that defines the American Metal sound. I've only met a few artists that I admired that turned out to be total assholes, 90% of them are cool as hell. I doubt you can say that about any other genre of music!
